Crossfit Open Unveils Killer 15.1 Workout


The CrossFit Open announced workout 15.1 on Thursday night in Boston, and it’s a two-part killer!

In wod 15.1, athletes must complete as many rounds as possible in nine minutes of:

15 toes-to-bars
10 rep deadlifts (115 lbs for men, 75 lbs for women)
5 rep snatches (115 lbs for men, 75 lbs for women)

In wod 15.1a, athletes have six minutes to establish a 1-rep-max clean and jerk.

Both workouts are to be performed on a 15-minute running clock, with wod 15.1a starting immediately after wod 15.1 is completed.

Two of the badass Crossfitters on Earth, Rich Froning and Mat Fraser, went head-to-head last night in this workout. Froning won both wods, scoring 224 in 15.1 with a max clean and jerk of 343 lbs. in 15.1a. Fraser scored 219 in 15.1 and lifting 327 lbs in 15.1a.
