In Case You Missed It 6/29/15

There's just too much happening on social media these days. Luckily for you, we don't have anything else to do all day. Here are the biggest lifts (and other stuff too!) you missed for 6/29/15.

Terry Hollands is really British and really strong. He's so British he's from Dartford, Kent and his Wikipedia page describes him as a "keen sportsman". He so strong he can strict press a 362lb log for a double. Rule Britannia indeed.

Daniel "Boomsauce" Tyminski is going back to the Games this year and is clearly training hard for the big show. He took to the erg to do some 2k row repeats and was even able to speed up his pace across each of his intervals. Just for funsies, let's compare to when Mikko did a similar workout. While Mikko's rest is a little longer (3 minutes compared to 2 minutes for DT), his average 2k time was just under 7 minutes while DT's average time was around 7:12 or 7:13...and that's with 4 intervals vs Mikko's 5 intervals.

Nick Jonas and CrossFit HQ are having a bit of a tiff over diabetes. I guess more accurately I should say "Nick Jonas' obsessive fanbase is having a tiff with CrossFit over recent comments by Greg Glassman about diabetes".
I really never thought I'd see the day where my favorite HQ employee, Russ Greene, had to interact with an agry preteen Nick Jonas fan:

There's just so much I love about this conversation. Between Jocelyn's last name being "Jonas" (lulz) and Russ Greene's "Bless your heart" comment, I just can't decide whether this is a sign that CrossFit is getting somewhere with its war against type 2 diabetes or if they're spinning their wheels dealing with Nick Jonas' legion of fans.
