CrossFit Represents Hard At IWF Worlds
CrossFit has had a huge effect on weightlifting in the US, but what about internationally? Apparently it's the same in other countries as well. At this year's Weightlifting World Championships, we'll be seeing multiple female Games athletes competing. Check it out:

  • Thuridur Erla Helgadottir, 28th at the 2015 CrossFit Games, will be competing as a 58kg in the C session at 11:30am on 11/22
  • Tia Claire-Toomey, 2nd at the 2015 CrossFit Games will also be competing at a 58kg lifter in the C session at 11:30am on 11/22
  • Annie Thorisdottir, 1st at the 2011 and 2012 CrossFit Games, will be competing as a 69kg lifter in the D session at 9:25pm on 11/24
  • Katrin Davidsdottir, 1st at the 2015 CrossFit Games, will be competing as a 69kg lifter as well also in the D session at 9:25pm on 11/24
  • Sara Sigmundsdottir, 3rd at the 2015 CrossFit Games, will be competing as a 75kg lifter in the C session at 8am on 11/27
So the entire women's podium from the 2015 CrossFit Games and two time Games Champion Annie Thorisdottir will also be competing. Four out of five lifters from Iceland competing in the IWF Worlds are CrossFit Games Athletes. What's in the water out there in Iceland?
