Powerlifting is pretty awesome, and fundraising for children with life-threatening diseases is also awesome, so when the two are put together you've got a one-two knockout combo. Earlier this week at Relentless, a sanctioned powerlifting meet that is a fundraiser for HopeKids, Samantha Scott took all that to the next level by deadlifting 405lb in front of dozens of children while dressed as Elsa from Frozen:
There are so many beautiful things going on in this display it's hard to know where to start. Not only does Sam's deadlift show young boys and girls that strength and women aren't contradictory, but she also pulls 405 lbs while dressed as Elsa from Frozen. This doubles down on the message that strong women are awesome by delivering the message via Disney princess.
Hats off to Sam Scott and Relentless for not only doing great things by fundraising for kids, but also presenting a really amazing example to adults and kids everywhere of what it means to be a strong woman.
