Event 5 shuffled the leaderboard in the Central Regional. In the third heat Jacob Heppner took the event and ran with it. He finished in 12:06, an event win
Event 5 shuffled the leaderboard in the Central Regional.
In the third heat Jacob Heppner took the event and ran with it. He finished in 12:06, an event win that stuck through the final heat. His two 2nd place finishes, and one 1st place finish today put him in 1st overall going into the final day.

In the fourth heat, Sam Dancer took the early lead, but it didn’t last long until Zak Carchedi took over. He ended up with a 9th place finish. Another favorite in the fourth heat, Scott Panchik, took 12th. Alex Anderson finished below that, in 15th.
Similar to on the women’s side, most of the qualifiers going into the final day of Central Regionals remain unchanged from the day before. Jacob Heppner and Zak Carchedi jumped up into the top 5, Graham Holmberg and Will Moorad dipped down to 7th and 12th respectively.
