Approximately 1,000 athletes from around the globe make the Road to Minnesota to compete in the Kill Cliff Granite Games for 3 days of world class fitness in action. Before they can throw down they’ve got to qualify first.
The Granite Games qualifier begins June 9th, and runs through July 4th. Athletes decide which level they’d like to complete their workouts at- AsRx, Masters, Teens, or Scaled. The top athletes in each division will qualify for a spot at the 2016 Kill Cliff Granite Games.
The AsRx division includes the highest levels of athletes in the sport. Athletes must be invited to compete in this division, or be one of the top 50 men/top 50 women of the online qualifier.
The Teen division includes the top 15 men/top 15 women ages 14-18.
The Masters division includes athletes 35+. The top 15 men/top 15 women in the 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, and 55+ divisions will each receive a spot.
Teams may also compete at the Granite Games, but athletes must still complete the qualifier workouts individually. There are multiple divisions and team sizes. Information on divisions and standards can be found here.
Online Qualifier registration is open now until June 13th. Week 1 is announced next Thursday, June 9th, at 7pm (CST).
