In Games News...

• Briggs is on US soil! Sam Briggs arrived in the US the morning of check in from an overnight flight.
• Zeus? Is that you? It might be the rig from the 2015 Games.
• Castro announced Team Event 6- the Double Worm Sprint.
• We hung out with Brent Fikowski, Margaux Alvarez, and Meg Reardon. First we sat down and had a chat, then we explored the athlete hotel.

• A new toy (assumed to be used by teams) was introduced via Instagram- big bob.

In Weightlifting News...

• The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) released further evidence today of Russia's widespread, state-sponsored doping as a potential call to action for sport governing bodies to ban Russia entirely from competing in Rio.
• The IOC is weighing tough penalties with the latest on the release of a report that confirmed widespread doping in Russian sports.
• USA Weightlifting has confirmed Pyrros Dimas will join them as the Technical Director in mid-2017.
