10 Things We Know About the 2016 Kill Cliff Granite Games
We're just over a week out from the 2016 Kill Cliff Granite Games, and more than 1,000 athletes from around the globe will make the journey to Minnesota for one of the largest offseason fitness competitions of 2016.

Those athletes will need to be ready for anything, because right now, we only have a handful of hints and workouts. Here's what we know so far!

1. Event 5 (Pro and Community Teams)

[instagram url="https://www.instagram.com/p/BJbZ8KdjCbP/?taken-by=thegranitegames" hide_caption="0"]
Teams of four, meaning Pro Teams and Community Teams, will take on what seems to be a combination of legless rope climbs, partner deadlifts, and synchronized burpees.

Event 5
F1/M1 and then F2/M2
4 rounds:
  • 4 LRC
  • 6 PDL
  • 8 S Burp

2. Events 9 and 10 (Individuals)

Individual athletes will be sprinting and carrying in Events 9 and 10. How far, how heavy, where, or what is unknown at this point, but John Swanson followed up the post with a video of a carry....

Individual Events 9 and 10:
  • Event 9: Sprint
  • Event 10: Carry

3. Ergs Will Make the Road to Minnesota, Too

We don't know exactly what athletes will be doing with the piece of equipment, but we know it will be there. Rowers can also be referred to as "ergs," so they could just be rowers; however, we saw skiergs in 2015, so it wouldn't be crazy to say we may see them again. Plus, Concept 2 Inc. posted a shot of the skiergs from 2015.

Have no fear, the rowers will be there too.

4. First Year on the Football Field

In this video posted by Swanson, we see athletes moving a sled loaded with bags. We also see two men and two women, which implies the Pro and Community teams will be on the grass of Husky Stadium.

We also saw a still shot of the sled on the field.
