The Granite Games is more than a community event; it's a proving ground for some of the best CrossFitters in the world. The 2016 Granite Games will continue that tradition with a stacked men's AsRX/Pro division featuring former and future CrossFit Games athletes. Here's what their prep looks like:

Kari Pearce finished fifth at the 2016 CrossFit Games--the best finish for an American woman since Julie Foucher's bronze from 2014. Obviously, she's no slouch, and her presence at the Granite Games will definitely force the rest of the women to step up their game if they want to challenge her.

Dani Horan of Champlain Valley CrossFit is a multiple-time CrossFit Games competitor who has competed at the Games since her first year at Regionals in 2013. She qualified for, but withdrew from, the 2015 CrossFit Games, and barely missed the cut for the 2016 Games.
With all that fitness and competitive experience under her belt, Dani Horan is entering the Granite Games with gold in her sights.

Caroline Dardini hails from a simple gym named Krypton, home to 2015's Fittest Man On Earth, Ben Smith. Her accomplishments speak for themselves, though. After winning her region in the Open and taking 16th worldwide in the 2016 Open, she placed 10th at the Atlantic Regional.
She's got the raw skills and capacity to excel at the next level, and doing well at an event like the Granite Games could be exactly the push she needs to get her there.

Jessica Griffith competed at the 2016 CrossFit Games on CrossFit 417's team instead of competing as an individual at Regionals. She qualified for the Granite Games with strong and consistent finishes. At the Granite Games, she'll face tough competition that'll put her in position to evaluate her skills for the upcoming Games season.

Heather Soukas has had a pretty awesome 2016 so far: She competed at the 2016 CrossFit Games with Team Back Bay, won the Granite Games qualifier, and is now coming into the Granite Games with a leg up on the rest of the women competing.
