USAW Scores Spots To Youth Olympics Through World Championship Qualifier
For the first time ever, USA Weightlifting has earned spots at the Youth Olympics through the world championships qualifier.
USA Weightlifting has been on a tear recently between medals, CJ Cumming's World Record, and Harrison Maurus' World Record, and more medals and that success has been paying off in tremendous ways.
For the first time even, the United States has earned two male spots and one female spot to the Youth Olympics through the World Championship qualifier:

Spots at the Olympics are earned through a complicated qualifying process which includes multiple channels of entry. The way to earn the most spots is through performances as a team at World Championships, but individuals spots can be earned through continental qualifiers.
The fact that Team USA has earned spots to the Youth Olympics through the World Championships is a result of at least couple years of solid performances at these world events and it also bodes well for the future of Team USA. In 2017, the men's team at Youth Worlds came away with six total medals, four golds and two silver. The women's team earned two bronze medals, courtesy of Kuinini Manumua:
