After taking 4th for the second year in the row at the 2016 CrossFit Games, rumors spread that Sam Briggs would be retiring from individual competition. With the new Masters 35-39 division, we knew we'd see her at the Games again competing to be the first person to be both a Masters and an Open Games Champion.
Now it looks like Sam Briggs has a chance to be the first athlete to qualify for both the Masters division and the Open division in the same year. The question is if she does qualify for both, which will she compete in?
