Wrapping up the 2017 IWF Junior Pan Ams
The 2017 Junior Pan-Ams have concluded with the final lifters representing Team USA bringing home even more hardware for their country.
Shala McMillian (+90) snatched 102kg/224lb and clean and jerked 119kg/262lb for a 221kg total. These lifts won her silver across the board!
Kaitlyn Jarrett (+90) snatched 90kg/198lb and clean and jerked 111kg/244lb or a 201kg total. This was only her second international competition and she killed it!
Zack Burks (-105) snatched 138kg/304lb and clean and jerked 177kg/389lb for a 315kg total. These lifts won him bronze in the snatch, silver in the clean and jerk and bronze overall.
Ryan Sennett (+105) snatched 151kg/332lb and clean and jerked 170kg/374lb for a 321kg total. These lifts won him gold in the snatch, silver in the clean and jerk and silver overall. Sennett is the only lifter from Team USA to bring home a gold medal from the 2017 Junior Pan-Ams!
We will see many of these faces again as Junior Worlds takes place in just a few weeks in Tokyo. Keep an eye out on their training as they continue their preparation!
