Some older videos of Ilya Ilyin have surfaced and they are shocking the weightlifting world. We all know the strong and speedy Ilya, but Hookgrip’s latest posts have shown just how much of a monster Ilyn is truly capable of being.

Ilya is shown here squat jerking 245kg/540lb back in 2015 a week before the President’s Cup in Grozny. Not only is this the heaviest squat jerk ever published, it may most likely be the heaviest squat jerk in the history of the sport.

On top of that, Hookgrip also published an insane 250kg/550lb clean & jerk attempt from Ilyn:

While Ilya Ilyin's competitive future is highly questionable, these lifts are absolutely insane, especially the ease with which he cleaned that 250kg.
