Kuo Hsing-Chun sets a new world record at the 2017 FISU Universiade!
The 29th Summer Universiade in Tapei, Taiwan is officially underway and records are being broken!

Kuo Hsing-Chun (58kg, Taiwan) snatched 107kg/235lb and clean and jerked 142kg/312lb for a new World Record, winning gold across the board!

Kim Myong Hyok (69kg, North Korea) snatched 153kg/337lb, taking gold in snatch. He clean and jerked 178kg/392lb, finishing up with a 331kg total. This total won him silver overall.

Rim Un Sim (63kg, North Korea) won gold across the board. She snatched 106kg/233lb and clean and jerked 130kg/286lb for a 236kg total! This was a 10kg difference between Un Sim and Tima Turieva (RUS) who won silver.
