I've already solved the most important conspiracy theory behind Dave Castro's 2018 Open hints. That said, Castro isn't done teasing everyone yet and his most recent post is reaching pretty far back to throw you off.

That is a statue of Father Antonio de la Ascensión in front of San Diego's Museum of Man in Balboa Park. Apparently, he helped map out the Southern California coastline which obviously means we're going to see swimming in 18.1 right?

The 2018 Open begins on Thursday, February 22nd with the announcement of 18.1 from Brazil.
