Everyone saw Rich Froning set the bar when he took a spin at the first individual event of the 2016 Regionals. However, in the Pacific, Kara Webb managed to beat that time by about 40 seconds. Froning completed the 30 snatches in roughly 6:10. Kara’s official time was 5:29.82. The next closest time was Bailey Rogers with 8:10.66, and on the men’s side Brandon Swan with 7:36.71. Kara continued to take 3rd in the second event, finishing in 1st overall after day 1.

Additionally, Pacific favorite Khan Porter sits strongly in 2nd, but 5x Games competitor (and 2015 CrossFit Invitational coach) Rob Forte finishes day 1 in 11th after a rough second event.
