It was a consistent trade-off for 1st and 2nd place throughout events between Kara Webb and Tia-Clair Toomey. Kara took 1st in Events 3 and 4, while Tia-Clair took 1st in Event 5. Both have nearly locked in their tickets to Carson.
Justine Beath and Harriett Roberts sit in the top 5, but unlike Kara and Tia-Clair, would be making their first trips to the Games. Justine remains consistent with 5th, 4th, and 2nd place finishes in day 2. Harriett started day 2 strong with a 3rd place finish in Event 3, but finished 24th and 17th in Events 4 and 5.
On the men’s side, Rob Forte fought to make his 6th Games appearance, finishing 1st and 2nd in Events 4 and 5 consecutively. He did take 12th in Event 3, but managed to finish Day 2 in 1st overall. A 10 place jump from the end of Day 1.
Kyle Frankenfeld made it known why he came in 1st in the Australian region of the Open. He finished day 1 in 23rd place, however, he managed to take 5th, 2nd, and 11th place finishes in the day 2 events. He currently sits in 7th place.
The women’s leaderboard, while shifted around slightly, holds the same as at the end of Day 1. The same top 5 remain. The men’s leaderboard has been shaken up. Of the top 5 from Day 1, only 2 remain. The 2 men who sat in the top 5 at the end of day 1, and continue to do so at the end of day 2, Mitchell Sinnamon and Zeke Grove would both be making their first trips to the Games as individuals.
