Team Soul made a big move toward the top spot by taking first in Events 1 and 2. They also set an event record on Event 2 by finishing the snatch ladder in 7:30, which beat Diablo CrossFit Anejo’s time of 7:37 from the California Regional. They had the best Day 1 of any team so far in Regionals with first-, first-, and fourth-place finishes in Events 1, 2 and 3, respectively.

12 Labours Lions, one of the favorites for the weekend, are currently in sixth—only one point separates them from fifth, and they are eight points from 4th. With six more events to go, they have plenty of opportunities to make their way into the five qualifying spots.
