Anna Tunnicliffe had a huge Day 2, moving up the leaderboard with solid performances in Events 3 and 4 and a new Event Record on Event 5 with a time of 13:38. With three solid performances under her belt, she’s moved into 2nd overall going into Day 3.

Even though Emily Bridgers didn’t have a great Day 2 compared to her dominant Day 1, her 9th, 7th, and 6th place finishes are more than enough to ensure she stays at the top of the leaderboard and widens the gap between herself and the rest of the field.
Like Tunnicliffe, Christy Adkins started Day 2 from the outside looking in and has moved herself up to 5th place with three solid performances including a 3rd place finish in Event 5.
Going into Day 3, the fight for 5th will be epic. Only 23 points separate fifth from tenth and in that group are two Games Veterans (Adkins, Lance) and several high performing newcomers (Phillips, Fisk, Evans).
The real story is going to be Breona Evans. Outside of a 29th place finish in Event 1, Evans has been very impressive and if she continues finishing in fifth to eighth range in the events tomorrow, she’ll be able to knock out Adkins and take over one of those qualifying spots.
