Ben Stoneberg was one second away from setting a new record in Event 3 today. Stoneberg, who did not compete last year at Regionals, is sitting in 3rd place after the first couplet of the day and is poised to make a 4th Games appearance.

Brent Fikowski has started off today strong with a 7th and 1st place finish in Events 3 and 4. Fikowski has missed out on a trip to the Games two years in a row last year coming in only two points behind a qualifying spot and the year before missing qualifying by only one point. It’s safe to say, he is determined to not be on the outside looking in at the conclusion of this weekend.
As it stands, there are only 10 points separating 4th-8th place with Games veterans Lucas Parker, Tyson Takasaki and Cole Sager in the mix. Day 3 is going to be a bloodbath.
